Creating your website using AI or a template

Create Your Website

When you sign in for the first time, you’ll choose how to start building your site:

  • Start with AI: Generate a website based on a short business description.
  • Start with a template: Choose from pre-designed layouts and styles.

Both options create a fully editable website, and you can customize every detail later.

 

Option 1: Start with AI

If you want to build a site quickly, the AI will generate a complete starting point for you.

To build your site with AI:

1. Press Start with AI.

 

2. Enter the name of your brand or business.

3. Provide a clear, simple description of your business (for example, "We’re a ceramic art studio and shop, creating handmade pottery and offering workshops"). Focus on what you do, rather than design preferences.

4. Once both fields have been completed, press Continue to pages.

 

5. Select the pages you want to include. Don't worry about being perfect. You can add or remove pages at any time.

 

6. Press Create my site with AI.

7. Review and refine your generated website. You can explore variations, adjust colors and fonts, or regenerate the design if needed.

8. When you’re happy with the result, press Use This Design to continue to the site builder and begin editing your website.

 

 

Option 2: Start with a template

If you prefer more control over the look and feel of your website, start with a template.
 

To start your site with a template:

1. Press Start with a template.

 

2. Select a business category or start with a blank website. This helps the builder suggest relevant images and layouts related to your type of business. For example, searching for “Handmade” may display image collections and designs suited to craft stores, artists, or workshops.

3. Browse the image collections on the right. Hover over them to preview the included images.

4. Once you find a style you like, press Continue.

 

5. Select the pages you want to include. Reminder: You can always change this later.

6. Press Continue.

 

7. Browse the available website layouts based on the category and image collection you selected earlier. You can customize colours, fonts, and header styles before choosing a layout. Your changes will update in real-time.

8. Select the layout you would like to use.

 

9. Once selected, press Use this template to enter the site builder.
